Rev. {Mrs.} Josephine Pearl Fosu-Kwakye
Born to a civil servant father and a seamstress / ‘petty trader’ mother on the 21st day of December 1967 with five biological and countless ‘adopted’ siblings’, Josephine Pearl Fosu-Kwakye was raised in an atmosphere framed with a smooth blend of discipline and love not without challenges. She learnt through her parents, the priceless virtue of sharing the very meagre resources of a middle-income earner and giving care to those who are in need.
She is passionate about the family and by extension, children and the youth. She loves to see marriages thrive in the ambience of a sound and vibrant spiritually charged, love-centred atmosphere.
Rev. {Mrs.} Josephine Pearl Fosu-Kwakye is the Vice-President of Light of Dominion Ministries Inc. {LDMI}; she is also the Registrar of Harel Ministerial and Leadership Institute [HMLI], the ministerial training arm of Light of Dominion Ministries Inc., all based in Ghana, West Africa. Also, she is the Founding President of Priceless Pearls International, a Non-Profit family / youth-based organisation engaged in teaching, training, youth development/empowerment and advocacy programmes including a buoyant ministry to intending/married couples and families.
Rev. {Mrs.} Josephine Pearl Fosu-Kwakye has had numerous life and professional experiences. She was the Information Assistant at the NYSC State Secretariat in Kogi State from 1992 to 1993 after which she freelanced as a State House reporter for the Kogi Express Newspaper until 1995. A year later, she began The Cradle Day-Care Centre at her residence in the Army Barracks in Lokoja, Kogi State. Her services as a child caregiver were so outstanding that she attracted the attention of the state media on two different occasions. Parents would bring their children to her for the weekend to enable them attend to family / official engagements.
Josephine Pearl Fosu-Kwakye was also a founding member of Women’s Aglow (Barracks Chapter) in Lokoja, Kogi State (Nigeria). In late 1997, she moved back to the city of her birth – Minna, Niger State where she became a Home-Cell leader and a leading member of the Editorial Team of Living Faith Church, Minna until 1999 when she left for La Cȏte D’Ivoire on missions.
Josephine Pearl Fosu-Kwakye served as Head of the Editorial Team for Signs and Wonders Today magazine published in both the English and French languages by Living Faith Church also known as Winner’s Chapel International, in Abidjan Cȏte D’Ivoire. She also served in several other capacities while at Winner’s Chapel International, Abidjan including being the only non-pastoral lecturer in the Word of Faith Bible Institute, a Sunday School teacher, and the interim leader of the Choir amongst others.
In 2004, Rev. {Mrs.} Josephine Pearl Fosu-Kwakye served as one of the Senior Editors in Dominion Publishing House at the Winners Chapel International Headquarters, Canaan Land at Ota in Ogun State, Nigeria. She was a major part of the Editorial Team responsible for the ministry’s publications such as the Winners World, Signs and Wonders Today magazine as well as the books of Bishop David Oyedepo.
Upon the family’s return to Ghana in the latter part of 2004, Rev, {Mrs.} Fosu-Kwakye consolidated and headed the Editorial Department of Winners Chapel Ghana until 2008 when her husband, Bishop Isaiah Yaw Fosu-Kwakye decided it was time they paid full attention to the Ministry he had begun in 1997. Consequently, she became the pioneering Resident Pastor of Dominion Chapel International, Accra.
Among her varied initiatives are The King’s Jewels, a youth performing group and the Firm Foundation Seminar for Teens, The PRICELESS YOUTH Camp – TPYC, The. The Fireplace Couples’ Conference – TFCC, Merchants and Pearls Conference for Singles, The PRICELESS WOMAN Conference, PPI Schools Outreach – PPI-SCHOUT, to mention just a few.
Josephine Pearl Fosu-Kwakye is a woman of deep compassion, a stickler for discipline, excellence, and responsibility. She is a meticulous, goal-oriented, and hardworking multi-linguist who loves and aims to make impact with every opportunity given. She often refers to herself as ‘the super-fulfilled wife of Bishop Isaiah Yaw Fosu-Kwakye’; she is a mother and a grandmother, not only to her children but also the numerous others the Lord brings under her wing whom she calls her ‘covenant children/grandchildren.
Rev. {Mrs.} Josephine Pearl Fosu-Kwakye’s ultimate goal in life is to die empty. She hopes that in life and in death, the mention of her name spells Christ; she would simply like to be remembered as one Kingdom addict who lived as Christ did!
